UPDATE ON DALLAS OFFICE

After much prayerful consideration, Mission Increase Foundation is suspending our full training and granting program in the Dallas area.

Two years ago, Mission Increase Foundation made a decision to expand into the Dallas area with the hope of inviting other donors to participate and fully fund the office and services we provide to ministries. To date, those opportunities have not presented themselves in Dallas.

As a result of our decision to suspend our training and granting program, Brian Hurd will no longer be serving as the Texas Area Director. I appreciate the work Brian has done to help ministries approach fundraising from a biblical perspective. He is a highly skilled and gifted professional and a godly person who earnestly desires to help ministries grow. I am confident that God will continue to use Brian for His glory and to further His Kingdom. Please him in your prayers during this time.

We know this change will have a significant impact on many ministries in Dallas.  To help with the transition, we are moving toward a facilitated model which will allow us to continue to provide a limited number of workshops in Dallas, compared to the number of trainings we have delivered in the past.  Through this transition time, MIF will be relying on foundation staff from our other offices to help facilitate these workshops. In addition, ministries in Dallas will still be able to participate in webinars and access other resources available on our website. We will be communicating more with you regarding the actual dates and frequency of local workshops in the weeks ahead.

Our sincere hope is that, in the near future, the Lord will guide and direct us to like-minded individuals in Dallas who desire to make a greater impact in their local community. Our preferred model is to have local ownership of the training and granting services we provide to ministries. We will consider resuming full training and granting efforts in Dallas when we are able to partner with local donors to fully fund the office. If you know of anyone who would be interested in this model, we would be happy to connect with them and discuss the results we have seen both in Dallas and in other offices.

Mission Increase Foundation has a growing number of offices in which donors have partnered with us to fully fund an office to help ministries grow in their community. We will continue to offer training and grants to ministries through these partnerships around the country. 

We appreciate the opportunity to have worked with so many Kingdom-focused ministries in the greater Dallas area and have seen the Lord accomplish much over the past five years. We celebrate with gratitude what He has done through Brian’s faithful efforts:

• ­­­­Worked with over 120 ministries and trained a total of 145 ministry leaders in Dallas.
• Provided over 100 hours of deeper coaching and consulting to ministry leaders.

We pray for His continued blessing on you in the days ahead, and we would be honored to have you join us in praying for His continued direction in Dallas.
